Black began playing yo-yos in the August 1997. At first,he practiced the Yo-Yo to learn 2 Handed looping tricks like almost all of Japanese Yo-Yo player at that time. Because,2 handed tricks were thought as the hardest trick style in Japan. But, Black started to practice 1 handed string trick on November 1998. Because, Chris Neff came to Japan as 1 handed string trick demonstrator.
His play style was very cool and impressive. Black was shocked and he decieded to master 1 handed string trick. In Japan, there is one legend "the miracle in Shibuya". One boy who wasn't so famous played great freestyle at Shibuya on May 2000. Yes, he was Tomonari "BLACK" Ishiguro. He enterd Japanese Nationals at that year and he got 1st place. At that time, he used the music "Speed Freak" which Chris Neff used at Novenber 1998. Also, Black used the same music at 2001 worlds and he got 1st again.
In March of 2002, Black got 1st place at 2002 Japan Nationals again. And, he became President of Japan Yo-Yo Contest Committee.
In 2002, Black became official translator of World Yo-Yo Contest. He created Japanese worlds website and transrated with many no English speakers at 2002 worlds. He became not only contestant, but also stuff. On March 2003, he organized 2003 Japan National Yo-Yo Contest. He organized National Yo-Yo Contest first time and he was afraid to make any trouble. Many stuff and all of attendee supported him. Of course all of sponsors too.
He will enter 2003 World Yo-Yo Contest too and ,maybe he will get good result...
